| Step 7: Remove Stock Fuse Block and Pass Wires Through The stock fuse block comes out by removing two machine screws (try not to lose the nuts or lock washers in the headlight bucket!). This will be easier for you if you go ahead and remove the headlight. Then, you can start passing wires through the backing plate. I chose to start with the three wires on the right-hand side of the stock fuse block. The amount of "slack" in the existing wiring dictated that I work on the right-side ones through the front of the bucket; but the left-side would be done through the back of the bucket. Also, be advised that there is a blue wire with a female connector on it in there - it's a spare, so don't worry about finding its male half! I turned the front wheel "hard right" so that I would have any necessary slack "built in" as I proceeded. |

| Step 8: Prep For Solder The wires of interest are pulled out the front and prepared for soldering. Remember, at this point, I hadn't yet realized that the headlight would need to come out later anyway... |

| A wet rag draped across the fender will protect the finish in the event that I drip any hot solder! And, don't forget to slide on a length of heat-shrink tubing BEFORE you twist wires together... | ||||||||||||||||||||||
